Silver Contacts
Silver Contacts are pieces of silver soldered to copper that are used in high voltage electrical applications. These contacts must be separated from their copper counterpart and mostly free of copper, dirt, oil, and other contaminants. If they are not separated they are considered to be #2 Copper. Most of these contacts are 90% silver. BE WARNED!!! Most of these contacts contain a small amount of Cadmium. If and when you are separating these from their copper counterpart, wear a respirator. When melted to gas form the Cadmium is poisonous. Silver Contacts must be tested with our XRF Analyzer in order to verify their Silver Content.

Copper Turnings are shavings, grindings, or borings of unalloyed copper which are the result of many different manufacturing processes.
