Full Computers
Full Computers are Computers that have Disk Drives, a Hard Drive, a Motherboard, a CPU, RAM, and a Power Supply. They come in all shapes and sizes.
Complete Motherboards
Complete Motherboards are Motherboards that include a CPU and RAM.
Incomplete Motherboards
Incomplete Motherboards are Motherboards that are missing either a CPU or RAM.
CPU’s
CPU refers to a Central Processing Unit. A CPU is the brain of the computer. They can be ceramic or Steel backed. These alone bring a higher price.
RAM
RAM refers to Random Access Memory. A computer uses the hard drive to permanently store data. RAM only stores data while the computer is powered up. It constantly stores and releases data while your using the computer. These RAM sticks have Gold plated “fingers” and high quality chips, which make them valuable. They must be separated from the Motherboard to be bought as RAM.
Hard Drives
Hard Drives are where all of the information is stored on a computer. These should be free of plastic and the board on the bottom must be present.
Hard Drive Boards
These are high-grade boards that are initially attached to hard drives. When the boards are taken off the hard drives they become a separate material.
PCI Boards
These are high-grade boards that plug into a slot on the Motherboard. Most of these boards have gold fingers on the end.
Disk Drives
Disk Drives are either cd/dvd rom drives, 5 1/2″ floppy drives, or the old 3 1/2″ floppy drives.
Power Supplies with Copper Pigtail
Every computer has some form of power supply. These must have the Copper pigtail attached.
Power Supplies without Copper Pigtail
These are power supplies without the Copper pigtail attached. Normally the copper pigtail has been snipped off at the base. For that reason they have less value.
